This morning finds us at a Wal-Mart Super Center near Fredericksburg, Virginia. Those two coaches you see sitting with us are some unexpected visitors who joined us last night just in time for happy hour.
I’ll try to keep this one simple: Good friends John and Colette, who are also traveling south, meet friends Doug and Bonnie in a rest area along the highway and decide to travel together for rest of the day. They too are looking for a place to park for the night. Colette and Marilyn exchange texts.
The result of all this: Happy hour for 6 in a random Wal-Mart.
This morning we will all go our separate ways. Doug and Bonnie are off to their seasonal site in Sebring Florida. John and Colette are headed for southern Georgia, while we, with the shortest drive of all three, will move 150 miles east to Virginia Beach and our first ever taste of membership camping.
