Now I’m excited!
I have finally figured out how to embed 360 photos on my website:
Here is one of my first 360 photos on this blog, hopefully there are many more to come. From here on in, you can see what we see. With a 360 camera the photo is not framed on a specific target. When I’m taking a picture I try to look around, including behind me before I press that button. With this camera, you too can look around.
We were out in West St Catharines the other day and stopped to see if they have done any work on our train station. We’re soon getting the Go Train that will whizz us in to Toronto in less than 90 minutes but they have a lot of work to do to the old station before it’s ready to go.
While there, this is what we saw:
See the circle with the funny little square on the right? Click it and have a look around. With your mouse or your finger you can look up or down, left or right, it’s all up to you.
360 cameras are very flexible and will take many styles of shots including these. They’re called “tiny planets”. I think that once you get your head around how the software rolls it all together they’re a lot of fun.
If you roll your mouse over the photos you can read what they’re all about.
These shots are all captured by a small fit-in-my-pocket 360 camera that I can control with my phone.
I promise we will have a lot more fun sharing photos, and soon videos, from both my cameras.
Thanks for the visit. Have a great day!
