Warmin’ Up

dog and Marilyn hiking snowy Port Weller trail

Angel says” let’s not go too far out here this morning. It’s a little cool.”

When we woke up this morning our thermometer said it was -16C (3 F).

In the car, on the way to our hike, the announcer (oops, sorry. I think they’re called “Hosts” now) said that with the windchill it was -25 (-13F).

After our hike, it’s back in the car where it says it’s -13, so now you understand the   “Warmin’ Up” part.

pilot boat on the Welland Canal

This boat is taking pilot out to guide a Laker through the Welland Canal. That Laker will not be back this year. The Welland Canal closes December 31.

This is not the first time we’ve hiked this trail this year. In fact, this is one of our favorite hikes. Here’s a few warmer and certainly greener images of the George Nicholson Trail.
