Inquiring curious minds have asked “Larry, I thought this time you really did retire?”
To which I excitingly reply “yes, I really did retire.”
But before I tell you the story, please let me explain:
I love selling recreation vehicles. And I’ve loved it for all 39 years I’ve been doing it. I love the people I meet and the RV’s I help them with. I also love the fact that I get to work outdoors in the fresh air. Other than a bit of time in the office cleaning up the paperwork I live outside, either walking around the massive yard full of fun and exciting recreation vehicles or sitting on a golf cart, in the sun, my smart phone in hand, chatting with customers. Really, what’s not to like?
To stop doing what you love just because the calendar says you should makes zero sense to me, so therefore I don’t. Therefore I won’t!
Now they’re really confused. Really!
So I carefully explain ;
- Sometimes friends or customers call. They want to kick some tires, look at something bigger. Or something smaller. Who they gonna call? Larry.
- Sometimes Sicard’s plan a special promotion and need an extra knowledgeable trusted salesperson. Who are they gonna call? Larry
- Sometimes a Sicard’s salesperson wants to take a few extra days off. They’re certainly not gonna call Ghostbusters!
If I can help out, I do, because that’s the kind of guy I am. If we have something planned I
say ” Sorry.No thanks, maybe next time.”
People have often asked “when are you going to stop working?” I must be wiser than my years because I have always replied “When it’s not fun anymore.”
And it’s still fun. Lots of fun!
So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
We are lucky to live in an area with hundreds of waterfalls. Probably about a hundred different falls within an hour of home. Today’s photos are all mine, taken with my new Galaxy S8 (yes, that’s a Smartphone) and edited by me. it’s my new hobby and I love it too.
The 4 you see on this page are all less than 20 minutes from home. I hope you enjoy.
