On a winter’s day: We stopped into a church along the way

“Simpson” clouds

In the Vanstone house clouds like these are called Simpson clouds because that’s the kind of puffy ones you saw in the opening of each episode of the hit tv show The Simpsons. We are on our neighbors, and now good friends, Ron and Donna’s boat leisurely poking down the canal, thoroughly enjoying the warm and sunny afternoon.

On a winter’s day, stopped into a ┬áchurch along the way.

OK, maybe it’s not a church, but from the outside it is kind of the same shape. We decide it wouldn’t be a booze cruise if there was NO booze. So we better stop.
It’s Saturday afternoon at the Tiki Hut, the place is packed, there’s a line up to do karaoke and hey look this place even sells alcoholic beverages. We find some comfy looking bar stools and settle in.

Fried frogs legs. Will Marilyn eat them?

Our Arkansas neighbors talk about how they enjoy a good feed of frogs legs and one of the Saturday specials here at the Tiki Hut is a big plate full for $6.95. They think we should try some. Marilyn does not look too convinced, but in the end we do try them. I am less than impressed, Mar thinks they’re OK but probably won’t have them again.

Okeechobee Sunset

Somebody up there loves us all. We are on our way home, coming back down the canal, and WOW! Look at the sunset.

I went into a French restaurant and asked the waiter, ‘Have you got frog’s legs?’ He said, ‘Yes,’ so I said, ‘Well hop into the kitchen and get me a cheese sandwich.’

  1. Hey Larry,it seems real nice at Okeechobee Lake, wish we went there when we rvd in Florida for 2 years. The reason we didn’t,we heard there were alot of French Canuks, and they seemed to have there own group. When ever we ran into them at other rv parks they were kind of stuck up.. Randy
