We fuel up and walk the pups. We are in tight in this spot, no room to put slides out tonight. That’s OK though, it’s just for one night, we’ll be fine.
Marilyn is all excited; Tonight she is going to do a “30 minute recipe” in our Ninja cooking system.
She’s chosen chicken piccata for her first try as an on the road recipe with her Ninja and has made sure she as all the ingredients on hand.
As she assembles the ingredients, I pour us a wine to sip.
The white wine you see in the picture is for the chicken. We get red.
The clock starts ticking. It’s supposed to be 5 minutes prep time, and 25 minutes cooking. With the Ninja this is a one pot meal. The chicken is browned, the rest of the ingredients are added just like the recipe says. The cooking seems to be taking a few minutes longer.
No problem though, we’ll have some more red.
There will be no more wine for the chicken!
Only a few minutes late and dinner is served. It must be good, because before you know it, it’s all gone. She’s right, this is a great appliance for busy RV’ers.
Here’s what just over half an hour in a Ninja looks like:
“The most remarkable thing about my mother is that for thirty years she served the family nothing but leftovers. The original meal has never been found.” – Calvin Trillin
