Did I mention we like it here?

As you can see, the park isn’t very busy. In fact, there are probably 40 sites in the part of the park we’re in and including us there are only 3 campers. Kind of like we have a few hundred acres of Mississippi forest all to ourselves.

I’m sure that’s part of why we like the place so much. For sure we love the solitude, the rolling hill country, the spring flowers and the greening grass.

We also like it out of the park. We like the area and we love the people. They are so “down home” and friendly.
We went for a bit of a drive yesterday and as usual, I had my phone in my pocket so I snapped a few shots.

We stopped at the Magnolia post office to mail a parcel. I remember these mailboxes from my youth. We were box 202

For all the beauty though, there is also a lot of poverty. There were a few times yesterday where it didn’t matter what they were playing on the radio, all I was hearing was banjos. And all I was thinking about was the movie Deliverance.

Be safe my friends.
