Life is pretty good here at 50 Point, we have certainly made ourselves comfortable and at home. For pets we have of course our two favorite ever, Buster and Angel. Yes, we are real proud of our “real kids” too.
I have our bird feeder loaded with seed and we get regular visits from a few Yellow Finches. In fact they feel so much at home that they yak at me when their feeder is empty. That’s a trick they probably learned from the Jays (same colors as the Ball Team). They literally raise hell when the peanuts run out. There’s lot’s of squirrels around too but the afore mentioned Buster and Angel work hard at scaring them off. One of our latest animal friends is a Beaver, Marilyn calls him Bob. We see Bob every morning down at the Marina, he jumps in the water and slaps his tail “Hello” as we walk by. This morning we discovered a new animal we had never seen before, a “Bare Naked Boy”. Not much of a boy perhaps, but happily making his way to the water wearing nothing but his very own birthday suit. “No Marilyn, thats not a white swimsuit”.
How many days you ask before we unplug and hit the highway? All going well looks like 23 till we are done work. I have an appointment at the Stroke Clinic on Setember 22 and if we can come out of there unscathed and the rest of the stars all align, we’ll be on he road about a week later, the trick is to do Edmonton before the weather turns colder.
Yes, we are excited!
