Yesterday morning, early and bright, Ronny and Donna drop by to ask if we would like to try a Lo Country Shrimp Boil for dinner tonight. We love to try new things and certainly neither one of us has ever had a shrimp boil.
Count us in!
We’re set then, they’ll get all the fixins, and we should be there by 5 for cocktails, then we’ll eat. We’re excited.
We all catch up on the day’s news while we sip our iced teas. Everybody is getting hungry so Ronny cranks up his outdoor stove, gets the water boiling.
In goes the sausage, potatoes, onions and corn to the already spiced water.
By the time our second (or maybe it was our third) sweet tea is done (we’re slow drinkers) the taters and sausages are done. He’s just going to keep them warm while he boils up the shrimp.
Donna finishes up her salad and pulls the most amazing smelling garlic bread out of the oven.
We are ready to go.
