Here’s what our sky looked like at about 6:30 this morning. And what a gorgeous morning it is, 16 degrees (mid 60’s) highs again to the 80’s (high 20’s) and remember, we are over 2,000 ft above sea level. They say these record highs are to end though, back to the 60’s and 70’s soon. That’s OK, last year at this time while we were enjoying even warmer temperatures in Mazatlan we were bathing ourselves in OFF and swallowing anti-histamines to live with the billions of no-seeums along the beach. So far this year, One bug bite. That’s it. And Marilyn got it, so I didn’t feel a thing.
Our christmas present is almost a month old now and doing all we thought it would. We are down to 1-2 cups of good, I mean really good, coffee a day instead of the 1 to 2 pots a day we used to consume. Instead of purchasing th K-Cups at about 65 cents a throw, for the most part we are now buying good coffee and using the reusable filter. That means we are actually saving money and it’s good to know we are saving money on something. I haven’t figured out where we are putting all this money we are saving yet, but I have faith, it’s here some where.
Odel and Laurie are fellow Escapees and really active Boomers. We met them here at Jojoba Hills and will probably see them again at Quartzite in a couple of weeks. If you don’t read their website for the stories and pictures, you gotta read it for the recipes. Have a look at Semi-True Tales Of Our Life On The Road.
You’ve got food on your chin. Do you want to borrow my napkin?
And Finally, Honest!
Here’s a special shout-out to Elaine, you are a trooper. Your coach looks way better parked next to grass. It just didn’t look right with all that snow on it.
