Yesterday we visited the 75th annual Seminole Field Days, Rodeo and alligator wrestling event in nearby Brighton. We checked out the colorful Indian crafts and their brightly colored quilted fabrics and then rushed over for a gaze at the snake display and alligator wrestling.
It took four men to carry the alligator into the ring, he was probably the size of Big Al. In fact, as you can see in the picture, neither the alligator or the guy are small, so I guess that made it a fair fight. Obviously the one thing the guy has going for him is a larger brain. It didn’t take the wrestler long to gain complete control over the reptile and while we all knew that shit happens it really wasn’t much of a fight. There was so many people milling around there was no chance at a video but fortunately, all you need to do is google alligator wrestling and up pops dozens of videos. I chose one of the more popular ones for you to have a look at.
You probably wouldn’t have noticed this if I didn’t mention it but I now have a sweater on. I do this blog first thing in the morning, early and bright and usually at some point during my effort to be creative, Buster and Angel get up and want outside for a whiz. Today it’s a bright sunny day out there, not a cloud in the sky and just as the forecast promised, it is +3 or 38F out there this morning. Let’s just say that’s quite a contrast to the typical 60 to 70 degree temps we are usually met with. We weren’t out there too long.
