Our Christmas day began here in Jupiter, Florida with an exotic brunch over on Dale and Sheila’s patio.
Our feast included gluten free biscuits, fruit, salmon and of course, a wee mimosa.
We followed that up with a christmas stocking exchange. Nothing major, maximum $30 per person and it had to be fun. One of my gifts was a t-shirt that perfectly matched the warm sunny day. The shirt reads Jupiter Weather Forecast, warm and sunny with occasional beers.
It seems it is our tradition to spend Christmas day on the beach. We started this 5 years ago when we were south of Playa-Del-Carmen, Mexico followed by two years on the beach in Mazatlan and last year we took the dogs to the beach at Oceanside California. This year we kept the tradition alive with a vist to Jupiter Beach. The dogs had a ball playing doggy games with all the other dogs on the beach while us humans met a lot of friendly Floridians out enjoying the 80 something degree weather and warm waters.
Then, if that’s not enough action for this old body we came home to prepare a beautiful Christmas dinner. The menu included an appetizer of Escargots, followed by steak and lobster done on the coals of an outdoor firepit, accompanied by a baked potato and the all the trimmings.
Question: Why were the Indians here first?
Answer:They had reservations.
