Destintation New Orleans

first thing in the morning, slides in and we are off to Mardi Gras

OK, I admit it, we’re excited. We’ve prepared for the next few days since we made the reservations last July. From that day on, when anyone asked where we were going this winter our response was “We’re going to do Mardi Gras in early March.”  Other than that we’ve had no fixed plans, no goals other than what will happen  the next few days.

Tomorrow, we will be chatting from the “Big Easy.”

We spent the day saying good-bye to Gulf Shores State Park on our bikes and found a couple more trails we hadn’t done yet. We’ve only been here three weeks, and  I’ll bet we’ll be back here some day, this is certainly a neat area. There is lots to do both in and outside the park

We’re home in time to pack up. I bet tomorrow morning we are on the road in 20 minutes . Tomorrow we travel as part of a wagon train and we need to be on time. For the last  five months we’ve been on the road all by ourselves and we go when ever we are ready.

. As our “goodbye Gulf Shores” dinner we all went to a local beach restaurant called Lulu’s last night, the  lead singer asked us where were from. While us Canadians yelled “Canada” our Arkansas friends yelled “Arkansas,”

If you roll your mouse over the following pictures you can meet the  citizens of the new country of ArCanada.

See you at Mardi Gras.

  1. Larry stay away from some of those bars on Burbon St. you know the ones where cloths go flying off, as you might get too excited& the wife needs you in good shape to get you back to Canada. LOL Have fun, its a great place. Be sure to go across to the island where they make the floats.
