I’ve often thought I would like to someday see Czechoslovakia but have never once even considered sending my computer on an all expense paid trip to that far away country. Especially an all expenses paid one way trip.
When I rose this morning it was enjoying an exotic beverage in a beach bar on an east european beach chatting it up with a big, handsome Czechoslovakian main frame computer while I was freezing my butt off only near a northwest Florida beach.
But now it’s good news all around. While I prepare this on my tablet, Marilyn is now debriefing our lap top with some new protection software while we bask in the mid 50 degree mid afternoon Florida sun.Thats twice lately that we been invaded by a virus/malware. First was a worm called Conduit and now a “redirect” virus that actually had my computer thinking it was on another continent.
That was twice!
For us,twice is enough. We have 5 devices( 1 lap top, 2 smart phones, 2 tablets), all susceptible to malware. Today we bought a package that will protect all 5 in one big kryptonite safe guaranteed to protect us even in the event of nuclear attack.
I know, I know. None of this would have ever happened if we had bought Apple but old habits die hard. We are what we are.
Hopefully soon we will be back to our regular programing.
Now if you don’t mind, I think we should get out and enjoy some greatly missed warm Florida sunshine.
