A Walk In The Park

Do you think we are we a little spoiled? Every day we wake up to about a 70 degree weather and  check the forecast to see that we are in for another near record day in the 80’s while all our friends west of us almost freeze.

Since we picked up our Eagle in Fort Worth Texas in the spring of 2001 it doesn’t seem to matter where we go, sooner or later, one of the locals always comments that the weather is “unseasonable for this time of year.” Not that we mind, I’d far rather run the air conditioning then the furnace.

Can you imagine all the work involved placing all the pebbles on this bird house? See the pebble encrusted birds out sunning themselves on the post right above the bird house?

Way back in November of 2012, when we were still near Boston, we took a drive out to the used to be a picturesque fishing village before the tourists like us came to town, Rockport, Massachusetts where we spied this old fishing shack. Turns out it”s famous and has appeared in a few movies including Finding Nemo. The shack is called Motif Number 1.

Can I quote Wikipedia? “Motif Number 1, located on Bradley Wharf in the harbor town of Rockport, Massachusetts, is a fishing shack well known to students of art and art history as “the most often-painted building in America.”[1][2]

Turns out the famous building has now been painted by yet another famous artist. We’ll try to get a picture of her work up soon.

A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art.

  1. No not at all spoiled, just really truly living your life. I admire your constant striving to use your minds, learn new things, better yourselves and the simplicity to simply enjoy.

  2. Could not have said it better. We are walking in the same kind of park and thinking Life is Good.
